We have put our own brand of lightweight batteries on pause for the time being as we were just too busy with other stuff.
However, we have just taken delivery of the new batteries from Ultrabatt http://www.ultrabatt.com/# and they are a seriously impressive piece of kit, a bit smaller than our ones and over 100g lighter too. They also have a BMS (Battery Management System) inside which basically means that charging is maintained perfectly and the battery should last a very, very long time. This was something that I wanted to include in our battery when we first developed it over 2 years ago, obviously Ultrabatt have succeeded with this useful addition. Not cheap at £175 RRP but we will be able to supply these batteries to TDR forum members for a limited time only for £160 including P&P Call 01790 752269 or 07977 24 25 26 |

Hey
Are you still doing these batteries? I need a new battery for my SV650 so may as well make it lightweight. Only problem is, I need one for next weekend. Thanks |

So sorry, I didn't see your comment until now.
Yes, I am still doing the Ultrabatt lightweight batteries but unfortunately there are none in stock at the moment. The manufacturers are updating them and making them even better and we are waiting for the new ones to arrive in the UK. Although it should be soon, I can't see it happening before this coming weekend. |

No worries. Thanks for the reply anyway.
Maybe it can be part of the winter wait loss program. Are they a completely different size to standard batteries? And do you know roughly how much they weigh? Cheers Mark |

The previous version was just 728g - 114 x 62 x 81mm
I think the next one will be pretty similar in size and maybe a tiny bit lighter but definately even more powerful. Should be no problem for a SV650. I ran my B&W battery on my minitwin and it fired it up pretty well, these are better! You can put them any way up, no fluids to leak out, so not to difficult to find a bit of spare bit of space for it. |
