Ordered Tuesday, arrived today, great service and very easy to deal with. Not seen/found any reviews or anything about these on the internet so I'll report back how I find it.

I have to one and it is spot on, especially for the money. Just get a spare bit of stainless rod to keep as a spare shift rod. I think you would have got one anyway come to think of it. thumbsup

Yep, spare rod included. really can't fault the value, especially compared to the Dynojet one. even better if it actually works as intended!

All fitted at the weekend. Had to think it out a few times as it turns out the 'spare' rod is actually a right hand thread, so you have options depending on what your bike requires.

I found that on mine it would've been better if the switch was nearer the footrest, but I couldn't do that as the 2 threaded collars included were only regular threads.

As it is, the switch is very close to the sidestand bolt (not touching) which is why I've wrapped it in a few turns of tape to protect it in case it does touch. Won't be a problem when I'm racing because the whole side stand bracket and bolt won't be there!

Seems to work ok (on the paddock stand, and only 2 gears worth of changes!). The hardest part was finding the software to enable the function on the PC3USB.

Its not obviously listed on the PC site, but a quick Google for it, turned up a hyperlink to the downloads section of the PC site, on a Kawasaki forum from a few years back.

Is this literally just a switch to go in the shift rod which is then controlled by the PC?

Does the PC USB require anything else to run it? A separate module or is it download the software and plug and play?

Are these Push OR Pull switches? Not both?

Thanks

They do push by default but you can request pull I believe.

Yes, just plugs into the PC3USB or PCV using the supplied loom. You just need to run a small app to enable the function, and then you get a new option on the regular Power Commander software tools menu which allows you to configure the min RPM that it works at (default is 4k) and the cut time (default is 65ms)

Ahh, thank you for the info. It is actually that simple then! Will be interested to know how these perform. I have an HM plus on my race bike, so this would be for use on my road bike.

It depends on the bike.  As far as I understand, some bikes will work with the shift rod sensor plugged directly into the PCIIIUSB (with the "quickshiftenable" software to enable the quickshifter functionality).

However, some models require the ignition module as well as the Powercommander - possibly those with 8 injectors?  I have read somewhere that the Powercommander only controls 4 injectors.

For example, the QS worked directly plugged into the PCIIIUSB on my 03/04 ZX6R, however, I think the 05/06 model needs the ignition module.  If you go to the Powercommander website and put in your make/model/year, there is a warning box on the LHS if you need extra products for the QS to work.  Might be worth a call to Dynojet UK to double-check.

Edit...... If you go to the link bazzer posted above (http://www.ukroadandrace.co.uk/quickshiftershiftfx) and find your bike, it tells you if you need the ignition module.
