A cracking day, dry warm, loads of track room as despite the event being flagged as 'FULL' it was half empty compared to the full days last year. No red flags in the fast group either, a first?
Good news too that I sorted the electrical gremlin out, turned out to be a faulty tilt sensor. Bluddy thing.
If you have not had any 1-2-1 track training I can't recommend Jonty highly enough.
Decent lines, how to set the weight up on the bike to get the tyres working for you under braking and acceleration, race-craft, mental approach, the whole 9 yards. Instruction will be different for everyone so I wont go into too many details about what we did, but suffice to say if you think you know the right line because its comfortable you are not trying hard enough and are probably on the wrong one anyway.
We got over 2 secs off my best of the first session by the end of the day on old tyres and on a TD, so more to come with the racing this weekend, and he finally got me taking Clearways/Clark properly and having the faith to trust the bike and tyres and get the right drive out of there, and I now look at Paddock Hill completely differently and can take it much quicker as a result.
I feel I have raised the bar now and can consistently do 54's, so time to push harder and my target is 52's by the end of the meeting this weekend.
Top fellah and will go with him again. Thanks mate.
Oh, and have been passed by Tommy Hill on track. I passed him back on the brakes into Paddock Hill, although he was standing in the pit lane at the time chatting, but as far as I am concerned it still counts as he was wearing leathers.

PM him buddy. Along with proper suspension setup it will be the best money you will spend on your riding.

I did a test afternoon at Mallory earlier in the year. Mr. Hill was also in attendance. I came down the elbow, full chat and as I went to tip into Gerrads I had the bastird, right round the outside! He was just coming out of the pits mind you. He then promptly set about humiliating me. He was back past by the hairpin and gone by the end of the hairpin! Ok I thought, then he lapped me in 6-7 laps, just to rub salt into the wound! I was doing 58's too. Awesome to watch, or not as the case may be. I've said it before and I'll say it again. How many sports can the average Joe (by that I mea me, lol) share the same arena as the best in the game, at the same time. I find it a real pleasure to be on track with or race against such talented folk.
Glad the day went for you both. 2 secs is a lot for such a small circuit.

Lopsided Racing. We all like melons. Water melons, Honeydew melons, Cantaloupe, Pepino. You get the idea. I like melons.

If I remember 121 ride was very expensive you have to pay for 2 trackdays and then a tuition fee of couple hundred quid which ends up being a small fortune..
I get my suspension done for free by BN Race Science who helps a few peeps in BSB, and riding advice.
It would be nice to just get another insight.

You can get a 121 with our own Harry Monk for £130 for the day, or two of you can have his attention for £65 each ;-)
