I noticed at the weekend that my tyre warmer was getting hotter than the sun so I had to keep unplugging it so as not to affect the UK weather system.

Bought them off eBay a good few years ago, so I've certainly had a lot of use from them. Being a tightwad racer I decided to try and contact Holroyd to see if they could be repaired or not before splashing the cash on a new set.

Sent an email last night explaining the problem and received a very polite reply this morning asking me to send them back and they'll have a look.

OK, they may be beyond econonic repair or I may have to pay for the repairs, but it's great to have such a fast and positive response. thumbsup Especially considering that they knock these warmers out so cheap!

At Mallory last week there were a lot of racetech warmers in evidence reflecting their value and good customer service (yes I do have a set!!).

Just a quick update. Have had the following response from holroyd
"Good Morning Mark,

We have received your warmers back for investigation.

We cannot find any fault with them, however due to your comments we will replace the limiting device on the front warmer, and patch up the marks on the rear, these will be back with you by the end of the week along with stickers and decals for your bike.

Thank you very much for your custom.

If you require any more information please let me know."

Now that's customer service!

Yep, I've had two sets from Holroyd. Very happy. We also use them at work for barrel heaters and IBC heater jackets and always had good service from them in that respect too. Nice work! thumbsup

I'm not doubting these are good but at what point does the 'good customer service' only point towards problems with the product ?Only asking as most posts regarding these start with "had a problem with mine but........"

That's a fair comment Jack.
However I've had 2 sets now for 4-5 years with no problems.
It's nice to know that if I do have a problem then they're happy to listen and help if need be.
You can't say fairer than that.

I've seen a few MotoGP ones go up in smoke . I wonder if they'd be as quick to replace them ?

I'm on my second set of Holroyds now , the first set shrunk - especially the front and to be fair I didn't exactly look after them . However despite them being well over 12 months old , they were replaced free of charge and the replacement set are still going strong some 4 years on thumbsup
