Topic: Something a bit SPECIAL.......... Posted: 08 April 2013 at 16:51 |
How would A TDR only Cartagena trip sound? Pretty
Good I reckon, but then, add in, its at night (7PM till 11pm) Flood
lit and open pitlane on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of June? (Friday, Sat
and Sun) Only 48 people can attend............. 2 instructors, Craig Fitzpatrick and MotoGP's Michael Laverty Could even be a bit of an endurance race in there somewhere? Accommodation is the Roda Golf club and the price is based on sharing apartments. If
you want to take the family, you can upgrade to an apartment for the
family - or just have your own bedroom in a shared apartment. This is in the summer, so the sun will almost be guaranteed for the days and
because everyone is flying out there because its high season and not
school holidays etc, flights can be had for around the £80 return mark. Wearing out rubber in the evening, relaxing around a pool in the day with mates or family........ Whats not to like? Price - £499 this includes your time on track, Hotel (shared basis) and bike transport from Craig's place Payment needs to be in one go (thats what credit cards are for ) due to the timescales (only a couple of months away) As
I doubt most of us will ever get to Losail or Yas Mariner, this could
be a great chance to go racing/Track riding under flood lights ! and
judging by the UK weather at the moment, money better spent than taking
your chances on peak season priced, probably wet track days? It
isn't advertised on his WWW, but will be if we cant get 48 from TDR, it
will be opened up to the wider community - but even if this is the
case, there will be no SS lads or the like there, club racers welcome,
but this is pretty much for people that would book fast or inters on
track days Any interest?

Plus the Roda Golf Apartments are lovely....

Finally... i have got it all booked..been bit of a drama as one of my daughters finishes her final exams a few days before and now have permission to remove the other daughter from school for 8 days.. booked an apartment (penthouse with a bar b q on top roof to boot) for 10 days at the Roda from the 16th till the 26th, so hopefully all the sunburn will have gone by the time I get to put my leathers on... rekon I'm gonna take my road road bike for this (milli rsvr twin) as I used it cadwell the other day and quite enjoyed it...just gotta stick some decent rubber on it and change the gearing
