We are now able to supply a service to TDR members to do a vehicle check on either a Registration Number or a VIN (chassis) Number (even if a V5 document is not present)
Each check is £15 (including VAT, and a VAT invoice will be supplied if requested) 3 checks will be £40.50 (10% discount) What you would get for your £15 is as follows: Confirm vehicle description Check Vehicle VIN match Check for Outstanding finance Confirm Insurance write-offs Check Stolen vehicles Confirm Plate transfers Check for Stolen V5C documents Previous 6 months HPI activity Import / Export marker Vehicle colour changes Number of owners You will receive a certificate (by email) of the check. Please note that, if you supply a VIN number and the result is all clear, this still does not guarantee that the bike does not have a checkered history; just that the number supplied is all clear. It would be up to you to decide if the VIN number has been altered or defaced, or is in fact the correct number for that bike. For instance, if a CBR1000RR race bike comes back as a Land Rover Defender or something silly then you can be sure the number has been changed. However, if it comes back as a CBR1000RR and all clear, there is still a risk that the number has been changed from a stolen bike number to one that is clean (a cloned bike) If the VIN number supplied is not from a UK bike (or a bike that the DVLA holds no details for) then the check will have limited detail - sorry to be vague but it can depend on individual cases and the check has to be done for this to be discovered. If you think the VIN number is from a non UK vehicle chances are you will not receive a great deal of detail but you will be charged for the check. We cannot check an engine number - sorry. If you would like to have a check done on a bike you need to send £15 by Paypal to sales@blackandwhitebikes.co.uk We are also able to take credit cards at the workshop but unfortunately not over the phone. Please include the registration number or VIN number with your payment and the check will be returned by email within 24 hours. If you have any further questions please PM me, email me at paul@blackandwhitebikes.co.uk or call 01790 752269 / 07977 24 25 26 Thanks. |

Yes indeed, if the bike has been previously registered with the DVLA then the report will bring up the registration number.
From there, you can apply for a V5 document. |
