Hi there guys,
I'm Aidan, I own a small classic car restoration bodyshop in Bedfordshire and have recently started doing bike fairings as a side line to my business. I do my job because I love it, not because I have to and therefore am not so worried about earning large profits. Having worked on cars for the past 20 years I know the bodyshop trade very well and know what they charge in most large shops. Most are charging between £35 -£50 per hour labour plus materials( +vat!) and will only really replace parts and not touch custom jobs due to the hassle involved and difficulty in quoting labour. I however would rather do custom jobs and fix something that's bent or broken as I see it as a challenge and enjoy it more than the straight swap approach.
With regards to bike fairings I'm fairly new to it but its basically the same process. I am more than willing to repair fairings and do custom colours and designs. I know companies like Dream machine do this work and charge a fair bit of cash for it, from what I've heard full fairings can be £1000+!!! Wow, that's some profit I am able to do similar designs for half that and still make enough money to spend on crap I don't need so how about I do it even cheaper? Now that sounds like a stupid idea!! oh ok then lets do that

So to the juicey bit... prices,
Obviously these prices are not set in stone and can fluctuate either way depending on what you want doing, but to give you a rough idea on new undamaged fairings :

Full Fairing sets(seat, belly, sides, tank cover, nose and front mud guard)

1 solid colour - £340
1 metallic colour - £350
2 solid colours - £400
2 metallic - £410
3 solid colours £460
3 metallic - £470

This gives you an idea if theres a scheme your thinking about. Prices reflect the cost of buying minimum quantities of desired colours and extra labour for painting more than one colour. Candy colours, pearls and flakes available upon request.
(designs that cross over the frame will require bike present to match lines up

Decals can be added but since making enquires about custom schemes i.e. Coloured lines and patterns, the bike would have to be present to match panel cross overs and contours. Basic decals are ok if I have dimensions to work with. This work would be chargeable at extra cost dependant on decals.

Photoshops of your bike are available on request for paint schemes you want but please remember I do this in my own time(I have a family) for people who want a job doing and it does take me a good hour and a half. I would need a pic of your bike and a pic of the scheme you want or an idea at least

so to sum up you can have a basic colour for a budget or spend a bit more and have something fancy. Or you can go the whole hog and have a full on dream machine job(prob better!) for a lot less than the big boys charge.

p.s I don't do blending or matching of ANY candy colours or some 3 stage pearls due to it being neigh on impossible to match them so please don't ask sorry.

pps.. And lastly I am primarily a car restoration business so if you need any work on your cars or vans, or welding / fabrication feel free to get in touch. Labour rates on basic cars around £30 per hour... no VAT

Thanks for taking the time to read and hope to hear from you soon.
