I have a 2005 ZX-6 (636) road bike in Candy Plasma Blue (pictures to follow tonight). Details as below:
MOT- April 14 TAX - 11 months remaining Mileage - 27,900 C&S - 2000 miles old- therefore fine! Tyres - Pirelli Rosso IIs, 3500 miles old therefore OK for another 1000. Pads - Brand New fronts. Rears Service - Valve Check done 1000 miles ago. Extras - Scorpion Exhaust (Original Provided), Carbon Hugger, MRA screen. The mileage is quite high as I have used the bike for commuting since I have owned it (last 1.5 years) but everything works as it should. I damaged the nose cone a few months back (London bus to mirror stem interface!) but I have just received a brand new nose cone which I will fit this weekend. The bike was vinyl wrapped for the last two years and as a result the paintwork is perfect. Bike has always been kept garaged so overall condition is good. I have done the servicing myself with the exception of the valve clearances - I have receipts to show that. £2400 ONO. Cheaper than most track bikes without V5s ! The weekend was not as fruitful as expected- pics to come this week.
For now here are some pictures the previous owner took last year when I bought the bike. It now looks the same but without the fake carbon engine covers and with a real carbon hugger and Scorpion end can. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/eddygrantham/imgashx_zpse940931a.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/eddygrantham/imgashx6r_zps09db4927.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/eddygrantham/imgashx6_zpsa8040238.jpg Cheers, Ed |

And would be happy to let this go for a couple of hundred less than the price above if it helps :)

Looks lovely! If i wasn't taking a pay cut for the next 4 months I'd be very, very tempted. Insurance looks about the same as paying for the thundercat at the moment!

I cleaned the bike properly today, fitted the new nose
cone and took some pictures. It occured to me there are a few other
details I didn't mention:
-Goodridge braided brake lines -I replaced the clutch plates and springs about 2000 miles ago. -There is a seat hump (fitted) and a pillion seat, plus pegs and a few other bits such as the standard screen. As you can see in the pictures, the previous owner's fake carbon engine covers were fixed with a silicon sealant- this is a real pain to get off and I only had time to clean the stator side. I will work on the clutch side over the weekend- what you see in the picture is the blobs of black silicon. http://s126.photobucket.com/user/eddygrantham/library/ZX6%20636 Cheers, Ed Edited by 1_Pob - 03 April 2014 at 18:42 |
