    Posted: 17 November 2013 at 14:03
Probably going to regret this but I have decided to sell my lovely GSXR750 track bike and trailer in one go.  I purchased this bike from Kris (on here) at the beginning of the year and it has been faultless on the trackdays I have done this year.  It has no V5 (but this can be applied for TRACK USE ONLY) but it does have documentation to prove it's authenticity from Susuki.  The rolling chassis was from a CAT B bike and has had a newer engine fitted from a K9.  The bike has done approx 9000 miles and the engine approx 2900 miles from new. Brilliant track bike, fast and handles superb.  The RCS master cylinder is awesome in the braking dept.  Selling up as I will be concentrating on my road riding more next year but intend to do trackdays on my roadbike.

Specs:

2008 K8 GSXR750 with the 3 mode power switch
2009 Standard K9, unmolested engine and very sweet and smooth.
Full blue Samco hose kit and standard spare hoses.
Cresent adjustable rear sets
Woodcraft engine protectors
R&G crash mushrooms
Brembo RCS master cylinder (awesome kit)
Hel brake lines all round.
Optimate cable fitted.
New EBC pads fitted 4 trackdays ago.
Keyless ignition (not total loss either) Kill switch is used for ignition on/off.
Good bodywork with Alstare Dark Dog decal kit.
Arrow slip on fitted to standard headers (nice and quiet and passes all noise tests. Even the old Mallory weekend tests.)
Supercorsa 180/60/17 on rear (One trackday old)
Supercorsa front (plenty of track time left yet)
Renthal race sprockets fitted. Two spares included and spare gearbox sprocket.
Spare new rectifier.
Spare rear disc.
Standard instrumentation with gear indicator etc.
Suspension is standard but has been set up by 100% suspension for me (14 stone lardy).
Never dropped. (I ride with my own limitations)
Also a pair of Dunlop NTEC track tyres 190/120, only done 10 laps. (Awesome tyres)
Just had full fluid change including Castrol GP1 oil and new oil filter and new coolant.

Trailer:

I purchased the trailer new last winter as I was fed up of towing an open trailer and seeing the bike wobble and getting wet and dirty etc.  I love this trailer it is ideal for a track bike.
Made by a Scottish company (can't remember their name) and built from fibreglass.  It is quality and it in pretty damn fine condition.  I have used it about 10 times this year and it towes lovely and easily.

Specs:

Single axle trailer
Un-braked
Light and easy to tow (My fiat hatchback towed it easily.
Door drops down to form ramp
I have fitted a wheel chock (see photos) and some extra tie down hooks etc.
All lighting works.
All tyres like new (probably done 800 miles)
Plenty of room to fit other stuff in too along side of bike.

I will also throw in a proper TYREDOWN (best things since sliced bread for securing a bike without compressing the suspension.  And 3 front used scrub tyres in good condition.

Thats about it.  Please see the photo's.  I will not split this lot nor will I sell the trailer seperately unless someone buys the bike on it's own.

The price?  Well how about this; £3999 for the lot.  That is a bargain and ideal package for someone.

You are never too old to do a trackday, but you won't bounce as well as you used to.

Not sure, perhaps but very tight fit. Actually it probably would at a push.

I got to ask how can you apply for v5 if it's cat b as that's a write off and should be only sold as parts ??

I am not sure, but I have the documents.  I think the V5 relates to track use only, not road use.  In other words you can apply for a registration number again.  Either way, it's a track bike and it is a bargain.

I'll have to agree with you, but according to the DVLA paperwork I have, I can apply to have this registered for offroad use.

But hey ho, it's a track bike without concern.

Anyone can be assured it is all above board despite what some might say.

You can register your off road vehicle with DVLA and get a v5c.Have a look at information leaflet INF85 which gives you all the details.

No probs mate.  Trailer is not for sale separately at this time.  I know I paid quite a bit for it new.

New lower price.  Will not go lower.  If no takers after a while on here.  I will put it on the bay.  Or keep it until the spring.

thumbsup £3999

I know Rob, but I have my reasons.  I am going to the TT next year, doing some European touring and hoping to go to the Nurburgring aswell.  I can't afford to do trackdays and do all I want to do.  I still have 3 road bikes that need my time and attention too.  Bucket list stuff mate.

If it does not sell, I'll keep it and maybe do some trackdays on it next year.  I might see you at Cadwell as I still intend to do the odd track day there on my roadbike.

This is ideal for someone looking to stop riding their road bike to trackdays and want the whole package.
